The “Party” brand is well-known among online gambling enthusiasts all over the world. It’s been entertaining betting fans since 1997 when it started as Starluck Casino before the parent company, Entain Group, rebranded it in 2006 to PartyCasino.

PartySports Ontario Sportsbook went live after the historic C-218 bill was passed by the Canadian parliament, amending the sports betting criminal code. Ontario became the first province to welcome online sports betting businesses. This venue launched roughly one year later, in April 2022.

Besides PartyCasino and PartySports, the company is the proud operator of PartyPoker, a famous poker website.

At the time of writing this review, PartySports is offering 35 betting options, including sports and novelty bets. You’ll love the clean user interface, something we don’t witness often in online sportsbooks. The operator also offers apps for Android and iOS users, making PartySports an excellent choice for on-the-go entertainment.

In this PartySports review, we’ll walk you through the sportsbook’s features, credentials, available sporting events, and everything in between! For those exploring other options, our Yukon Gold Casino review offers a comprehensive look at another reputable online gaming destination.

Can You Trust PartySports in Canada?

Entain Group has delegated all operations of the Party brand to ElectraWorks Maple Limited in Canada. The license by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) guarantees bettors safety, fair odds, and dispute resolution in the province. You can verify it by the number OPIG1233927.

Besides the AGCO approval, the operator also boasts licenses from reputable authorities, including the:

On top of these three major regulators, the venue is also registered in Austria, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Germany, Denmark, and Belgium.

Deposits and Withdrawals at PartySports

To get the most out of PartySports, you must deposit real money into your account. The betting platform has numerous online payment methods, as presented in the table below:

Rules for Deposits and Withdrawals

The gambling laws in Ontario are strict, and PartySports encourages all bettors to comply with these laws. In terms of payments, it starts with the limits.

The minimum you must deposit is $10 using any of the payment methods we’ve listed above. There is no unified upper cap for deposits on this platform. You can find your custom limit in the deposit limits section of your account.

Once you hit the limit, you can’t deposit anymore. Still, PartySports allows you to request changes to this restriction. Increase requests take 24 hours (cool-off period) to take effect, while reduction requests go through immediately.

The withdrawal policy is clever and protects PartySports as well as its bettors.

You can only withdraw with payment methods you’ve already used for the deposit. If you use multiple methods for deposits, you must withdraw an equal amount via the same payment method before choosing another option to clear the rest of your balance.

It takes up to two days for the internal team to review your withdrawal request and process it. Until the request is processed, you can reverse it. If you already have previous requests, the amounts may be merged.

PartySports requires account verification before processing payouts. It’s aligned with Ontario’s online gambling regulations. The operator is required to know your age, address, occupation, and legal name. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions section of the PartySports website to check out the verification instructions.

PartySports—Ontario’s Premier Online Sportsbook

As the sports betting division of the famous Party brand, PartySports houses 35 betting options. We deliberately didn’t say 35 sports because not all the options are sports.

Here is the list:

  • Athletics
  • Aussie Rules
  • Baseball
  • Basketball
  • Beach Volleyball
  • Biathlon
  • Boxing
  • Cricket
  • Cross Country Skiing
  • Cycling
  • Darts
  • Entertainment*
  • Football
  • Formula 1
  • Gaelic Games
  • Golf
  • Handball
  • Hockey
  • Lacrosse
  • MMA
  • Motorbikes
  • Motorsports
  • NASCAR
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union
  • Snooker
  • Soccer
  • Specials*
  • Table Tennis
  • Tennis
  • Virtual Basketball
  • Virtual Football
  • Virtual Soccer
  • Virtual Tennis
  • Volleyball

The star (*) marked options on the list don’t contain sports bets. Entertainment, for example, allows you to bet on events related to the entertainment industry. At the time of writing this review, the 96th Annual Academy Awards is an available option.

The Specials tab contains many props bets from a myriad of sports events. You’ll find numerous categories of special bets that further expand into multiple markets you can add to the bet slip.

The rest of the options on the A–Z Sports list will take you to dedicated pages where you’ll find relevant sports competitions. Remember that the path to competitions is not the same for all sports.

For example, if you choose soccer, you’ll get to further choose a country for the tournament. For tennis, you’ll directly get to choose from events, e.g., Australian Open, ATP Washington, ATP Los Cabos, etc.

Keep in mind that these tournaments are always changing depending on the time of year.

Sports Betting Markets at PartySports

In betting, a market is a particular event you wish to add to your bet slip. For example, you may wish to bet on the match between Montreal Alouettes and Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the CFL.

You get to choose from a spread bet, total bet, and moneyline. Click on “All Wagers” to get a full list of the available markets. The options are numerous, including but not limited to:

  • Full-time/half-time game lines
  • Full-time/half-time totals
  • Full-time/half-time spread

You can expect a similar scenario for all the other available sports in the main library. The available markets vary depending on what sports you choose. The markets for Canadian football will not be the same as European football (soccer).

At any given time, expect to find hundreds if not thousands of markets for soccer. It makes sense as it’s the most popular sport in the world, both in terms of viewership and betting volume.

Live Betting at PartySports Ontario Sportsbook

PartySports offers a Live betting section where you can wager on live events. The options you get depend on what events are available at that time. There is an A–Z Sports tab on the live betting section with the following sports:

  • Basketball
  • Beach volleyball
  • Cricket
  • Golf
  • Rugby union
  • Soccer
  • Table tennis
  • Tennis

On the same page, you can see the number of available live events for betting. Similar to the pre-match betting section, soccer typically entails the highest number of events.

The beauty of live betting lies in the odds changing in real time. PartySports updates the odds as soon as they change, and you can see them without refreshing the page. Look for a green arrow in the top right corner of the odds or a red arrow in the bottom right corner.

Another great thing about the live events is that you get more markets compared to fixed-odds bets.

The only complaint we have about PartySports is its selection of live-streaming events. You can either look for the live streaming icon on the events list or search “Media” right above the bet slip. Spoiler alert—streaming is only available for a handful of events, and you must be logged into your account to access them.

On the bright side, PartySports includes a 2D scorecard that updates the score for pretty much all sports.

PartySports Ontario Odds Formats and Quality

Like every other online sportsbook, PartySports includes the vig in the projected odds. In case you don’t know, the “vig” is the sportsbook’s commission for facilitating the bet for you. You can calculate the actual odds by removing the vig using online calculators.

In our experience, that’s not necessary at PartySports. The odds for all the events are highly competitive. We’ve compared it to some of the biggest names on Ontario’s sports betting scene.

The odds are only available in the decimal format, also known as European odds. We’d like to have the option to change to American, but it’s not possible at the moment.

We like the spread of the odds for different markets. When you choose one outcome over another, you do it for a higher payout. PartySports offers long odds to help you achieve this goal. Not many online sportsbooks do it, as they project the odds too close to each other.

How the Party Host Treats the Partygoers

If you feel the need to get in touch with PartySports, scroll down to the footer section. You should see the Contact Us tab, which will take you to a new page packed with helpful articles.

You may think of this section as the FAQ but in a longer form. Instead of answering questions in a few sentences, PartySports has created moderately-sized articles with necessary links.

What we like the most is the categorization. You can find in-depth information about withdrawals, registration, payments, account verification, geolocation issues, different sports, etc., from the central hub.

If you can’t find the answer to your question, you can move to direct contact. PartySports offers 24/7 support via live chat and email.

The contact page is also where you upload the account verification documents.

The Party Continues on Mobile Devices

You’d be glad to know that PartySports ensures excellent mobile compatibility for Android and iOS users. The features of this online sportsbook in Ontario are available on the mobile version of the website.

You can access the mobile website the same way as the desktop version. Type in the URL in your mobile browser. The website has HTML5, ensuring all pages fit your screen perfectly. All sports and markets are available on the mobile website.

The same is true for the apps. They are even more optimized than the mobile website, so the user experience is fantastic. You can find additional info in the table below:

Responsible Gambling at PartySports Ontario Sportsbook

The AGCO enforces strict responsible gambling regulations. Note that underage gambling is a serious offence. If PartySports detects or suspects such activities, the venue will notify the AGCO, which will then delegate the matter to local prosecution authorities to look into it.

Another important feature is the “Changing for the Bettor” strategy that uses deposit limits, time-out periods, stake limits, loss limits, and self-exclusion. You can configure all of these tools directly in your account or by contacting customer support.

The best thing about these tools is that they allow you to micromanage your gambling habits. You get to set daily, weekly, or monthly limits, depending on your bankroll and mental state.

The responsible gambling page on the PartySports website is an excellent source of helpful tips. You can learn to control compulsive behaviour and get access to external organizations that can help players in need.

ConnexOntario and Gamblers Anonymous are two major organizations that work relentlessly to help Ontarians practice responsible gambling.

ConnexOntario is a 24/7 helpline that you can reach out to at 1-866-531-2600. Alternatively, you can text at 247247.

Gamblers Anonymous is a fellowship of like-minded people who share their experiences and work toward the same goal of recovering from gambling problems.
